The 52 Project … Week 30 of 52

We went on a big adventure to the city, you and me.

We caught a bus, and then a train. We had a girlie lunch at Jamie’s Italian (Daddy was jealous!). We did some shopping. And then I read your new ‘Frozen’ book to you over a coffee and a babyccino at The Hilton.

I love hanging out with you. You’re such a great little mate to go adventuring with!

We’ve spent a lot of time at home lately. So last Sunday we escaped, and drove into the hills. It was so lovely to get out and about, and to have a bit of an explore at Mundaring Weir.

You loved it. You especially loved climbing all over the rocks, and finding ‘short cuts’ with Daddy.

Last Sunday was a pretty big day.

It kicked off with your first ever movie at the cinema … “Tinkerbell and the Pirate Fairy”. Then afterwards you got to fly like a real fairy in this funky contraption.

It’s a good job you chose your Tinkerbell dress to wear that day, so you really looked the part!

“Wait for me Daddy. Wait for meeeeeee!”

As soon as the rain stopped and the sun came out, you reminded your Dad that he’d promised to take you on a bike ride. I suggested a change of outfit might be appropriate. You dismissed my idea with a look that I just know in the not-too-distant future will morph into a perfectly executed eye roll.

It’s been very cold, wet and wintery this last week. So here you are in your rainy day happy place … with your babyccino, mini gingerbread men and a Disney movie.

Cinderella is this week’s favourite. It’s hard to believe it was made in 1950. You’re just as transfixed by its old-school, 64 year old animation, as you are by the modern and slick Frozen, which was released just last year.

We’re not getting out together at the moment, you and me. I’m missing our little outings. You don’t seem too bothered at all. You always manage to keep yourself busy.

I found you sitting here, on your bench. With Lucy, all tucked up in her lovely new pram. I asked you where you were off to.

“I’m waiting for the bus,” you said, “Me and Lucy are catching the bus, then the train, and we’re going to a meeting with Grandma.”
